FYI--There were police and paramedics at the bus stop for Hadley at Highland and St. Charles Road this morning due to a child that was attacked by a larger black dog with a red collar. This dog has been spotted in the 5 Corners area, including Stacey Park. I called the police to inquire whether the dog had been caught, but they denied the incident even happened. However, my child witnessed the situation and another bus had to come, so I have no reason to not believe him--he even identified one of the police officers there as the DARE officer that presents at Forest Glen. Just putting it out there to be careful if your children are in that area as I'm doubtful the dog has been caught.
I know someone who lives in that block...I will have to ask about this tomorrow. I had not heard about this and we don't live too far from there.

I reconfirmed with a neighbor that indeed this did happen as she spoke directly with the bus driver who stated that the child was attacked by a dog. I did call the police back and after being put on hold for a bit, they told me a child took a fall in the area. Unless there was another incident, this was not the situation at Highland and St. Charles. I have a call into the school too.....
Hi Clam, No I did not do that "Are you serious" post--strange eh? But I am serious about what happened and wondering why the incident was denied when I called GE police. I am awaiting a call from the principal, Hadley is not denying the incident.

I live in Glenrise Estates, which is just NE of Five Corners. I have seen a black lab with a red collar roaming our neighborhood and it once attacked our three dogs while on a walk. This dog is always loose in our neighborhood, I think I know who owns this dog. I'm at the point of calling the county if I see him out again. Thanks for posting this information.
