In only the third year of having a wrestling program at Hadley, they will advance 26 boys to the Sectional Meet to take place next Saturday in Deerfield.

33 boys wrestled in the Regional today at Eisenhower Junior High in Darien and 26 of them placed among the top 4 wrestlers per weight class, allowing them to advance to Sectionals.

Hooray for Head Coach McCluskey, and Assistant Coaches Leadaman, Rohrer, Addelman, and high school student/assistant Coach Hassan!!! Good job all around!

More good news from Hadley wrestling!

13 boys have qualified to advance to the IESA State Wrestling Meet to be held at the NIU campus Friday and Saturday. There are 16 weight classes in IESA wrestling. While one of the weight levels has two Hadley wrestlers qualifying, that means that 11 of the remaining 15 weight levels will be represented by a member of the Hadley Wrestling Team!

Amy that is good news. Not sure if your kids are involved but if they are... congratulations! My son just finished reading the book "Takedown" which got him interested in wrestling.

*Hadley overall team finish: 14th

*Wrestlers making it past the first round: 11 out of 13.

*7th grader Devante Toney: placed just outside the top 6.

*7th grader Mac Thompson: placed just outside of the top 6.

*8th grader Bernie Gallegos: placed 3rd in state for his weight class.

*8th grader Zak Hassan: placed 2nd in state for his weight class.
