Have we received an explanation from our legislators as to why/how this occurred?

The fact is the fact - $150,000 was earmarked for our District...which would presumably take some burden off of us taxpayers. That money was "taken away" and I haven't heard a word about it.

Shouldn't someone explain what happened? Isn't that why we elect people?

I agree about explanation. But you do enough work with municipal government to know the answer to your own question.

You presume this 150K will ease your burden. My question stands: Define "ease overcrowding". Or is that earmark just another way of maximizing the levy and giving our D41 Board discretionary spending. Sort of how we got air conditioning. A "maintenance" issue, as I recall.

Could this be some of the money earmarked from the unfunded building fund that was promised by our ex-Prez?

You know, the money to build (from the state) when you have more than X% of your children in portables. The money JV promised during his election campaign. Blago has raided that fund since day 1.
