Hate to say it, but I'd put odds on it that our most recent FORMER board member will be re-appointed. whether we like it or not.

Rob,
I can understand the appeal of the "will not run again" argument - for any candidate. I'm not sure why it would need to be exclusive to just one, however. Everyone, Per our last Board meeting, there will be a Special Meeting of the Board next Tuesday, June 29th at 6PM. After public comments, the Board will go to closed session, and intends to take action on the appointment afterward. I'd encourage folks to contact the BOE with comments before the meeting if you can't make it in person. Bob Solak |

I would like to echo Bob's suggestion for your feedback to the board. The best way for you to give feedback to the entire board on this is to either attend this meeting and speak during the public speaking portion or send emails to the board via the D41 website.

Dan,
The ability to attend the meeting not withstanding, could we get a list of the applicants that submitted resumes? Could we also have any notes or thoughts from the interview process for each of the candidates? I would like as much pertinent information to digest before coming to the meeting and offering up my public comments. Thanks for the help. “just like in real life there's still rules on this team. Rob,
Great questions. As for the discussion of the process of selecting a replacement, please look at the minutes, page 7, from the June 7th board meeting. Additionally, there is a lengthy discussion on this process in the audio recording of the meeting found here. This topic is discussed starting around the 1 hr. 35 minute mark and lasts about 25 minutes. As for your other requests I am going to have to refer you to the D41 district office, 630-790-6400, as I am not sure what has been made public. Not trying to dodge your question, just making sure I stay out of trouble Dan Smith, Jr. |

There were no reports in the paper or accounts on the District website.
To whom are we sending welcoming wishes to the Board? “just like in real life there's still rules on this team. Unlike real life? Nobody's above the rules on this field." – Coach Eric Taylor |

Rob, the Board voted 6-0 to appoint John Kenwood. We had 6 good applicants, and hopefully those folks will consider running in the April election. There were two former Board members in the applicant pool, including John Kenwood, and two other candidates with some experience with D41 committee work.
