I'd have that letter/note forensically examined, even if it's a sick joke. If it was a kid, someone other than the perp knows about this and with a little pressure will give it up. I'd then prosecute regardless of age.

The kids were told that the school was testing their evacuation system. They did not know it was a bomb threat - which is customary practice so that kids are not put in a state of panic. I filled him in on the facts and let him know they wouldn't have let the kids back in the building if they hadn't searched carefully and found it safe. He already named a kid he figures did it....one with a reputation for stirring up trouble.

Amy, that is the same info. my daughter passed along to me. She asked me how I knew about it and my automated reply for questions like that is, "What is my name?" MOM. We know everything when it comes to our kids. I'm just glad she isn't all worked up about it.
