I unplugged my Tivo a few weeks ago to try the WOW DVR. First impression was that it clearly was not as user friendly, but still pretty good. I like having an integrated box and the ability to have a dual-tuner, without having to do a work-around, which Tivo requires (and my 9-year old TV does not support) is a good thing. At any rate, after a few weeks I'm disenchanted. I can handle the fact that it is not as user friendly as Tivo, but it is forgetting to record some shows, it has difficulty re-synching sound and video after a fast forward, and last night we were not able to get sound from ANY of our pre-recorded shows. Maybe I just have a faulty box?. I'm wondering if anyone has the Comcast DVR and if they are having similar issues (or wondering if people with WOW have the same issues - if not, I guess it could be a bad box?). Although I know neither is as good as Tivo, I'd love to be able to stick with the cable guys for that dual tuner and integrated box. Thanks.

I have a Comcast DVR and have never had TIVO.
My DVR is fairly easy to program and easy to watch. I have had no problems with sound, picture, or loss of programming or scheduled programming. When it comes out of FF there may be a second lag where it synchs up a bit, but I don't miss anything and it doesn't annoy me. Unless WOW uses a much inferior box I think you may just have a faulty DVR. Hope this helps!

Comcast DVR is not worth it, period.

Tivo has a lot more storage than Comcast DVR which is 10 dollars extra on your monthly bill. Even dish network has better storage on there DVR.

Currently, I have Comcast but I used to have satellite tv. I think satellite is alot better still.
On demand is worthless because most programs seems to be old unless you pay for a new movie.

Television, in general, isn't worth the effort.
