Any recommendations for a portable in vehicle GPS unit? We are considering a Magellan or a Garmin.

Consumer reports seems to like the Garmin Nuvi. They are nice but the prompts don't give as much notice as the Magellans. Clearly a product where you don't want to pay full price. We bought our Garmin on a two sale at Fry's that saved us over $200 over BBY

I've got a Magellen Maestro 4400 and I'm pretty happy with it. I bought mine on line and saved about $80 over CC and BB prices.
