This might be misplaced in the forums or might not even belong on this board, but I'm hoping someone can help me.

On 3 computers in our house we can d/l and read PDF files from the D41 website with no issues. On the 4th computer, we can d/l and read PDF files from other sites, but not from D41 -- the system just kind of hangs. The first 3 computers are running Acrobat Reader 5.1. The 4th is running 6.x (I don't remember exactly).

Any insight on what I can do to read the D41 PDFs on the 4th computer?

Without addressing what is causing the problem, and purely as a quick fix, you can download and install older versions of acrobat here.
