Is it just me or is the clock on the Glen Ellyn home page behind an hour?

I have yet to find a snippet of clock code that works all the time with all browsers, operating systems and computers.

The clock is looking at the time on your computer ... it depends how you have the daylight saving time. etc., options set on your machine.

But, it works most of the time for most people.

The message board clock said 4:01 when I wrote this. The Glen Ellyn home page said 3:01. My computer clock now says 4:02....slow typing.

1. Right click on the time shown in the lower right hand corner of your computer. 2. Click on:: Adjust Date/Time. 4.On the ribbon on the top of the box, click on: Time Zone. 4. Check to see that you are in the correct time zone and daylight time is checked. This should work as many times computers are in the wrong time zone as they were set at the factory.

FYI - I believe there are TWO time settings which are used.

1) Default time set by Ted as the administrator of the site.

2) A "preferences" setting set up by the users as we created our login accounts. Go to preferences and make sure they are set correctly

Hope that helps. I am just guessing here BTW.

Are you guys telling me that on your computers the clock on the page that I am calling the Glen Ellyn Home page

http://www.glen-ellyn.com/gov/

shows the same time as the clock on the page that I am calling the Message Board Home page?

http://glen-ellyn.com/eve/forums

BTW Jeff, after all the snide comments I have made about you I am surprised that you are trying to help. Smile

Fish, I assume we have crossed paths in the very near passed. I just haven't figured out who you are yet. That day will come - but until then I will try to add to your quality of life. It appears you need some help in that area. just kidding - lol

I have figured out a better way to tell time. I call the guys at Soukups or the Busy Bee and have them stick their heads out and look across the street! It is right at least twice a day!

The police have a security video camera inside Soukups that points at the floral clock.

Perhaps that will become the new GETV/17 feed...

Posts that drip with sarcasm! Keep it coming Magdog. Only 1,000 + more quality posts and you can be the second inductee into the newly renamed Clamato Hall of Fame.

Whatever that was...it took too long to fix.

I had a lot of really funny material to post and now I have forgotten what it was.
