| Yesterday we were experiencing slow downloads and we had one brief outage. So far, things seem normal today. |

| Yes and no. On the 23, apparaently in the early morning we had a power failure. My computer rebooted as did the DSL box. No big deal. I attempted to make a new DSL connection ( I have an old box) and it kept giving me an error (one i've seen before). Did you get this? Called up AT & T and asked the tech - hey, is Glen Ellyn out of service for now? - Dude didn't answer me, instead just tried to see my connection and had me try to delete old icons and connections and make more, etc. I repeated again, Is Glen Ellyn... so forth. They patch me through to higher up guys - guys says - Yeah, Glen Ellyn and area is out! Thank you for 30 minutes of wasted time! However, the guy commented my modem/gateway was old and was going to send me a new one. Xmas eve - at my front door - new modem. Pretty neat! and for free! But I do see hickups and my husband who always plays checkers noticed slowness. Again, it's either the line (AT & T) or the new modem not humming along properly? don't know? But it's very intermittent. Obviously I'm typing now and see the internet with no disappointing speed. I did notice last night posting a reply took a while and moving page to page was slow. NWBurbs was slow too. Or it could be my new equipment and software?
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here. |

| I've had the best luck reading the forums for at&t dsl at dslreports.comwhen I have issues I go there first to see if it there is a regional problem before I try calling their joke of a tech support. They walked me thru a tech call one time after I couldn't get to certain websites. They couldn't figure out the problem but said I should try their paid tech support since it appeared to beyond their scope. I said no way and went to dsl reports. Sure enough, on there it mentioned AT&T was having issues with some of their DNS servers, but they were being cleared up.
