Sadly, there is also a connection as they both have to deal with grief in their jobs.

I'll bet he resents that remark.

Nice TV.......There are so many choices out there, it is really hard to go wrong. Are you going to mount it or place it on a media cabinet? We bought a nice cheap cabinet at Ikea to go underneath ours to hold all surround sound, etc.

Sorry Ted, got carried away....Paula is hot though.......yikes....

No, I needed one that would fit inside of the armoire (sp?) that we paid WAY too much money for 5 years ago when we first got married and that is WAY too big.

Seemed like such a good idea at the time....never thinking that the house we would eventually buy would be smaller than the townhome we were living it.

Oops, I forgot to get back to you all after we bought the 40” Sony Bravia. I looked at many many sets, talked to tons of sales people, read loads of articles and made the choice. Thanks for all of your advice. We love the tv, it is just the right size for the room. Considering we live in a McTiny anything larger would have overpowered us.

Congratulations, I think you'll love your Sony more and more over time. I was looking over TV's this weekend at Circuit City, I still find Sony my favorite. Did you use the HDMI hook-up? It does make the picture detail better than component.

I have only the cables from Sony and WOW at this time. I do think that I will buy a the HDMI cable as without it there are a lot of cords in the back. The picture is great with what I have though. I understand that Walmart's HDMI's are the cheapest. I'll let you know. If you are shopping for a flat panel, I found that I got the best advice from Tweeter and Fry's display was the best. We made the purchase at Costco because of their wonderful return and guarantee policy. I do think however, if we ever buy another that I will buy it at a store that delivers. Even with an SUV, the 40" was real load. If you buy a Plasma, you have to keep it upright, and I don't see how one could do that. With an LCD, you can lay it flat and then wait a couple hours to plug it in when you get it home.

North of Roosevelt and south of Hill. Would you like to come to the welcome back 24 or Soprano's party?

I'd much prefer the Curb Your Enthusiasm party. I am north of the tracks and south of Hawthorn(e). Let me know when...

Interesting: The price of the Sony Bravia went down over the weekend and all I had to do was show up at Costco with the receipt and walked out with $160.50. No hassle, no grief! Gotta love Costco!

When we bought our 50", I loaded it in the back of my pickup, and on the way home it started to rain. And I couldn't speed to get home quicker as I was scared to death of it breaking the string tie downs and exiting the bed on its own. I think I expoused a steady stream of four letter words all the way home.

Don't want to talk about it.

DirectTV and I are not friends right now.

HD is supposedly coming on the 17th....HD-DVR is backordered until God knows when. (although I've already paid for it).

I got a $50 dollar credit for my bitching....although I know I am still getting screwed.

You will not be sorry you had to wait, even though it is complete bullshit that you had to wait this long. They throw $50 bucks out there like it is going to make a difference to you.......
