How much are you asking?

I believe it is worth between $550 and $750. It is somewhat rare, and although it is recognized by collectors, there are not many comparables. Do you have any knowledge regarding the value of Steul furniture?

Are you actually located in Orchard Park, New York?
How the heck would that thing make its way to Glen Ellyn? And how have you decided to market to us hayseeds in the midwest? |

What is the shipping cost to Glen Ellyn on this cabinet and also the hall tree on your site? Are you already delivering something else to Glen Ellyn and you could add this to the delivery? Please let me know before I give you an offer.
Thank you. |

I will check on delivery charges to see if I can include delivery to Glen Ellyn at the $750 price. In other words if I can ship it for $200 I can at least get my minimum value for the piece ($550). I would guess the hall tree would not add that much to the shipping bill, so give me an offer. Let me know if this would work for you. (Go to my site and click on the description to send me an email.)
jmf P.S. I found this on the web and I thought it would be helpful: ========================= "Henry Steul & Sons Furniture, Buffalo, New York I can only find a few vague references. However, Steul furniture has been proved to be collectible and valuable. Dining tables going for over $2000 as an example. They were in Buffalo as early as the 1890s and late as 1927, the earliest and lates reference I found. Not necessarily the total time span, just the span I can verify. There is a book titled: "American Manufactured Furniture" by Don Fredgant, Schiffer Books, has two sections on Steul. In 1927 a 10 piece dining set in "somber oak" or spanish style also, sold for $996! That would translate to say 10 grand in todays marketplace! That would also lend credence to the pricing for a table of over $2000 in todays market for another reference I found. I would suggest that you check the above referenced book and also Kovals American Antiques for further guidance." http://www.answerway.com/faqshow2.php?pgtitle=Furniture...d=13&faquid=jrpolgar ======================= This message has been edited.
