I know its a total longshot, but I am hoping to go to the August 21st Cubbies game. Its supposed to be a suprise for my boyfriend, but I can't seem to find affordable tickets (I am on a budget!). If anyone has any, at face value, even terrible seats, I would be interested. Thanks for your help.

Again I know this is a total total longshot.

Is it is night game?

My firm has nights and weekends tickets....If so, I'm sure you can have them....of course, I haven't even been to a game yet this year.

EDIT - Just checked, day game....you're SOL here.

Liar...you posted you went to one about the same time your wife was giving birth.

Good luck Born and Raised...checked at the office for you and they are also taken...sorry!

If I were a girl (not just playing one on any given Saturday night) I wouldn't buy my boyfriend Cubs tickets unless there was a ring on my finger. But that's me.

My three sources said no go, but Ruydah...the world's biggest Cub fan...is in the high-flying financial industry and probably has a source for them. Don't you, Ruydah?

Where do the cubs play their home games?

How did you know? One of the most popular franchises in sports is in a heated pennant race to end a 100 year championship drought and face-value tickets are being tossed my way!

Had an interesting discussion with a few other like-minded Cub fans last week. If...if...if the Cubs make it to the WS, what's the highest price you'd pay for a seat at Wrigley?

That's true. I did go May 1st....but they weren't my tickets. I meant haven't used our tickets once.

And I'm a Sox fan but I would pay $500.00.

Thank you everyone for your help. I figured it would be pretty impossible but I thought I would reach out anyways!

Thank you all very much for looking though!

Sometimes people at my work e-mail us with tickets that are available. If I hear anything, I'll let you know!

As for WS tickets, I'd pay $500 for two seats - cause you can't go alone!

You can go alone. Best time I ever had at a concert was a solo trip I made to the Chicago Theater. Bought the seat last minute and sat in theeeee front row. Really hated eating at the bar at Keifer's by myself...while watching the Illini in the NCAA tourney...and drinking martinis. Just a horrible time....not.

This should be known as The Bartman Rule of attendance.

RH - Now that you mention it, I don't know anyone who have seen Bartman and Clam together.

The family went a couple of weeks ago, and I bought the tickets through StubHub. Pricey, I know - but reliable and no chance of counterfeit tickets. I did notice that the tickets are going for a lot more than they were even last year, when the team was in contention, too, just not quite in the same dominant way as this year.

Anyway, a very expensive afternoon (considering we had two teenage boys who ate about ten hot dogs each, not to mention cotton candy and malt cups), but definitely worth it. We all want to be able to say we saw the team in person if this does happen to be...duh duh duh...THE YEAR!!!! And there's no bad seat at Wrigley, really. We didn't mind sitting way up in the left field Upper Deck.

Thanks everyone again!

I ended up going with StubHub. $100 for 2 tickets, way upper deck but we don't really care where we sit (probably end up in a bar anyways).

Can't wait for the game!

Go Cubbies!!!!!!

I've sat in these seats. Great spot to watch a game. Decent chance for a foul ball off right-handed hitters. If you purchase these tickets, please do not use foul language. Your neighbors will turn on you in an instant.
