Mom's little 13" color TV blew out last week. The 5th TV she's gone through in the past 10 years or so. She can't leave her home due to serious health issues. Radio and TV are now her entire world, along with close relatives. A 13 or 15" semi-working analogue TV with remote, cable input and video input for playing DVD's would work best. It doesn't have to be good quality. I know many are going to be tossing something like this soon, but we can't wait 'til the Spring Cleanup to scavange one off the curb.

If you can part with such a set, we'll work the arrangements out. Thanks!

We have a nice sized color TV that we are planning to dispose of in some way. The only kicker is the tuner is shot so it has to go through the VCR or DVD Player to change channels. If you can make that work - or even want to try - it's yours for free. It's a Phillips....maybe 20inch? TV.
Let me know via the BB and we can figure out a way to make it work if you think it may serve your needs.

I've got a 32" Sony in great shape that I could part with. It's 15 years old, but works fine. It's pretty heavy, so you'll need some big gorilla to haul it away. Let me know asap so I can make it ready for you this weekend. After that I'm out through Dec. 14.

Thanks, Yoss. Just a tad too large for her place.

Amy, I'm on the fence with that setup, though it's a generous offer. We're looking for simple simple.

No worries. If you think it will work, let me know. If not, no sweat. Smile

I've also have a 20" Toshiba that's from 1989, still works, but I don't have the remote.

Snoopy doesn't stand a chance. How pissed is Yoss that he disclosed that he would be gone for an extended period of time?

And a surprise? If I get injured, I will sue.

Define injured?

I anticipated my abscence, that's why I've set-up a passive system. I will only miss getting it on video for You Tube.

Never replaced it with anything. Unfortunately, she's now too ill to watch, hear or understand whatever would be on a TV. Frown

Ge58, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom's failing health. It's never easy. I'll be thinking about both of you.
