Potts has one in his bag that he might as well get rid of. They are supposed to be used primarily to give you distance to the green on your approach shots. Potts uses his only when he has hit the living $hit out of a drive and when he gets to his ball, uses it to measure the distance from there back to the tee.

On a related note, I am 1 and 0 against him in long drive contests.
