Toxin Raid...
I used to work with Ed a few years ago. Really nice guy, never seemed to be the type to hurt a fly. I really hope this is some bizarre misunderstanding... |

DTM, read the trib.....I don't believe it was a misunderstanding...

Considering he was investigated three years ago by the FBI for taking a hit out on his wife via the interwebs.... um, no |
|||
|
|
GlenEllynite |
No, there is no proof to that...the media is making that link, but law enforcement has not.
Dungeons & Dragons Defense 35-year-old Edward Bachner, who allegedly pretended to be a Dr. Edmund Backer so he could order vials of tetrodotoxin, played Dungeons and Dragons, says his attorney Jim Marcus. "Many people - millions of people participate in Dungeons and Dragons. I don't want to go into the specific defenses that are available, but certainly he did participate in Dungeons and Dragons, and I don't really want to comment beyond that." |

This is a weird-ly written story. It's like there have been whole paragraphs excised or something. What in the hell does D&D have to do with anything?? We're left to guess.
And I don't get the life insurance thing - it says he "was" the beneficiary. Did he have a 1st wife who died, or did his current wife remove him as beneficiary? Weird, and poorly written. |

No, we aren't left to guess. It has to do with the fact that those who play D&D, especially in their 30s, are absolute losers and social outcasts deserving of getting checked into lockers in high school and deserving of getting wedgied every day in junior high. Those older, deserve to be incarcerated. That is fact and I think that was the purpose of its inclusion. "Often Wrong, Never in Doubt" |

agreed....
the insinuation is that if he's playing D&D, he must be nuts and therefore not accountable for trying to take his wife out. You woulda thought he'd just cast a Level-7 Druid Incarnium spell on her.... |

You guys are so judgemental.
I'm warping over to Risa to be with my favorite Orion slave girl. Set phasers to "caress". "Deck the halls..." |

I'd have just thrown a puffer fish down those overalls and gotten it over with. I think that could have easily been explained away as an accident/prank-gone-wrong.

I would go with the Golden Poisonous Frog - way more deadly.....and a lot cuter.

Speaking of insurance, I'd buy insurance from this frog before I'd buy it from a gecko. So cute!!! |

I can't comment on his wife's state of mind. When he passed out the invites to their wedding, I was overlooked... |
|||
|
|
GlenEllynite |
Would it be possible for her to lead everyone on, including her husband in hopes he incriminates himself? Wear a wire???

Being overlooked when wedding invites are passed out is the best snub in the world. If I never have to go to another wedding at Chateau Busche' in Alsip where 60% of the female attendees looked like tired old drag queens and 80% of the gents were happily pierced and inked, where the food is not French as the name of the establishment might suggest, and where the bride and groom walked away from the ceremony to the sounds of a Marilyn Manson tune (Good God...I wish I were kidding about that)...then I will be a happy man.

From the way Clamato described the guests, they certainly weren't walking down the aisle to this.
