Why do we and SK keep poking that nut with a stick with these war "games" off the disputed border? WTF? I don't think we've even got spare change for a third war.
Just looking in their direction is considered provocation. Makes things tough for Seoul, which is about as far from Pyongyang as Chicago is from Rockford.
I'm guessing NK is looking for a big check from either the west or China. This seems to be SOP for them-cause some trouble, rattle the sabre, then someone cuts them a check to calm them down.

Apparently they've been close to internal overthrow due to lack of food though I suppose China keeps them going but still- why are we sanctioning stick poking? And the media says "oh, but we have a treaty to defend them! (SK)" Pffft. give me a break. In that case Bosnia was right in their war against Albania.
Thankfully ROK decided not to play the war game at the border. I think. News seems a little sketchy though the US apparently is rattling the saber with a carrier.
Maybe in the end it will all be good as it seems the divided nation really would like to unify (probably not in a manor acceptable to the US but what the hey)
National Geographic did a program on NC. Very interesting. . . . It's available for streaming on Netflix. These people actually worship this nut bag, either out of fear or have been totally brainwashed.
