The mister and I probably won't be exchanging Christmas gifts this year since we're redoing the kitchen up north in anticipation of retirement and since he just bought this. I was just wondering what was on everyone's list.

I bought a remote start for my TL, so I'm set.

Mrs. Yoss is getting a Nikon D80

We hold off buying any clothing in anticipation of the after Christmas sales.

I have a garage full of those Mrs. A.
This is the first year in quite some time that we are exchanging gifts.

My husband e-mailed me his list last week, both items are already purchased. The first item is some sort of new DVD player and the other item is a set of pedals for his bicycle.
My husband will be out shopping on Christmas Eve to fulfill my list-a really nice unique watch.

Yoss, be careful adding aftermarket items to your car......Bad things happen when you let any Tom, Dick or Dummy start messing with your electrical system in your car........

World peace.

But seriously, like Yigo, I'd like a nice watch. I'd be ever grateful to Santa if he brought me a Patek Philippe, but since Santa doesn't have Fish or Clam kind of money I'll probably be getting a Timex.

I agree with IMJ...Christmas is for kids...we never exchange gifts...if there is something either of us want throughout the year that would be considered a big ticket item...we talk it over then buy it. We don't sweat the small stuff. Santa does leave something like socks and underwear for dad and gloves and perfume for mom every year so the kids don't feel bad that we have nothing to open.

I can't believe you don't do presents with the little Fans around. Eek

Please people...stop putting me in the same wealth category as that hovel-living, kid-beating, cyber-additcted, Lane-looking, bad-loan-obtaining, Fan-loving, tire-changing, cubicle-working, mini-buying, manwagon-driving, ****(spelled R O O S T E R)-collecting, Ruydah-leeching Clamato.

I can only dream about his tax bracket.

What part of "no" don't you understand?

Our condo is our Christmas present to each other this year; we usually exchange, but this year a new mortgage is on both of our lists. I am charged with the responsibility of buying for my parents, my aunt, uncle & her 3 adult children, my husband's parents and aunt, and various work people. It's hard buying for my aunt & co. because I literally see them three times a year; Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. Gift cards all around! Since the hubby and I were just married this past April, each set of parents is getting a nice coffee table book I created on Shutterfly with wedding photos; along with the traditional perfume for mom and software for dad. I don't want much for Christmas; a nice under-cabinet radio/CD player for the kitchen & gift cards for stuff I wouldn't normally buy for myself. I'm not expecting a lot; my family was more than generous with wedding finanacing & gifts.

I was just asking if you exchange gifts in front of the little Fans so they have wonderful memories when they get older and are able to gang up on you . Big Grin
Oh ! and remember what Tony always reminds us about. The kids pick out which home you end up in. Eek

We do not exchange gifts. Like a lot of you we buy what we need as we need it. AFter the seeing the SIL's new kitchen I did convince hubby to remodel ours. We go downtown after Christmas to relax, have some drinks and good food.

I researched what other Acura drivers were putting in their cars on Acurazine.com. It was either Avital or Audiovox, I went with Avital. Then I bought and had it installed at Abt, they have a highly reputable auto shop. So far, no problems.

I am driving on my present whenever I am behind the wheel of the SUV, new tires. What little present money there is goes towards the kids. I have a $5K+ tuition bill due in a few weeks. I will put in my order for next X-mas, a JOB.

I'm driving my birthday-Christmas-Valentine's Day-Anniversary-and-any-other-event present. I don't really need anything...the kids will do pretty well this year.
