Those of you that know me, know that I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007. Mine was caught early and my outcome was great, I'm coming up on 5 years of being cancer free. I found out yesterday that a good friend at work was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer, it has metastasized to his bones and his doctor is giving him two years. He’s now looking at hormone and radiation therapy to try and keep the cancer in check. I had shared my story with him when I met him three years ago, his father had prostate cancer and yet he just decided “Nah, not me” and didn’t have a PSA or DRE until symptoms were present. My friends, early prostate cancer is very treatable and outcomes are excellent. If you’re over 40, get yearly checks. Please. "Everyone thinks their opinion matters. Don't argue with a nobody. A farmer doesn't bother telling a pig his breath smells like s***." | ||
