There was a fantastic photographer there named Don Mendenhall. his website is www.donmendenhallphotography.com . Nice fella, and knows his Edward Weston quite well. His stuff resembles my newer stuff. Lots of textures, rusting things, dead things (oh, that is my stuff, not his) and all in B/W.

Is it my imagination or was there a photo of a dead animal (hopefully not a chicken) that is now gone. Is Ted an art critic now?

Yes, apparently he is. My photographic statement that I posted was showing that somethings are on this earth forever, like a railroad track that has long since been abandoned, and some things that are not like a cute little fragile deer that was left there to rot by some gang that through it was funny executing it under a bridge.

Didn't mean to offend, just showing what I have been photographing lately.

I should say that I have become quite the childrens photographer over the last year. Chicago Parent Magazine even did an article about me and my work. I know some of you have commented things like "we don't want to look at photos of your kid" so I won't post anything. Either way, if you have not checked out my site lately (you haven't because nobody does anymore), it is here:

Blue Echoes Photography

Sorry Ted, I am not trying to advertise. I probably need to type up a nice press release thang saying I still have a site or something, right?

Clam, since Ted deleted my post with the photo I posted, I should note that there was a thank you for the compliment in there as well. So thanks for the compliment.

Single light source- Rembrandt lighting, little or no fill, contrasty. Nice photo, but I really like your other stuff way better. Actually I believe your still life photos were some of the best I've ever seen.

I already took it down GEM, so nobody will know what you are talking about. Thanks for the compliment! My other stuff is way better because I hated taking photos of people. I am working through that though.

OK, maybe I'm showing my age now, but I've never hated a song more in my life than Katy Perry's "Waking Up in Vegas." That's the most embarrassingly bad piece of **** I've ever heard on the radio.

I don't deny she's cute as a button, but I want to off myself whenever I hear it (or anything by her for that matter). I guess I'm missing something.

Here's the lyric that really sends me over the edge for some reason:

"Information overload, situation lost control"

It's worse than the most overblown Meatloaf song. If they ever want to torture me, don't bother with waterboarding, just play that song over and over.
