First off, I think it will be a great game. Two teams that are easy to root for, but I have to give the nod to the Colts.

I'm a bit bummed that CBS is carrying the game, but that's because I can't listen to Shannon "Mushmouth" Sharpe without hitting the mute button. But James Brown is great, as is Bill Cowher, so they hopefully can cancel out SS. Marino-I can't get past the stories I've heard of what a tool he is.

I'm calling the score 38-28 in favor of the Colts.

great game. Onside kick to leadoff the half was genius. Not too bad for a guy from EIU.

Everyone at the party I was at (myself included) thought Indy was going to steamroll New Orleans! That game was awesome....and what an arm Brees has!

On a side note....I discovered that a guy I went to high school with now plays on the Colts....weird.

What did everyone fix for snacks? I went on a Tex-Mex BINGE!

At quarterback....Portabello quesadillas - pan fried buttery strips of giant porties, mixed with slivered sweet red peppers and matchhead-sized diced serrano pepper, sweet-and-sour pork and Vidalia onions.

Topped the enevelope mix with hand-grated EXTRA sharp cheddar and the tortilla envelope sealed with a dusting of the stock shredded cheese [Valli's "Flavorite" store-brand - a surprisingly good line of shredded cheeses] along the outer edge.

Baste with melted butter, broil "two-up" on a cookie sheet in the oven until golden on both sides.

At wide receiver....Big bowl of pico de gallo - everything chopped to matchhead size - tomatoes, one large tomatillo, serrano [or jalapeno] peppers, Vidalia [or yellow] onion and of course, nice fresh cilantro, chopped as fine as you can get it.

At halfback....Fresh and fancy homemade gaucamole - five "just right" avacadoes, mashed up in a big mixing bowl, sprinkle in a few spoons of chopped tomato and onion [not too much], season with onion salt, lime and a few twists of garlic sea salt [easy does it on this!] Place yummy mixture in a smaller serving bowl and spread a thin layer of fresh sour cream on top - just enough to cover the green gold. Finally, sprinkle with some crushed red pepper, the same kind you might sprinkle on a pizza.

At center...Melina's corn chips - best I have ever had, among store bought corn chips anyway - get 'em at Valli. Melina's medium red salsa [Valli too], Zaaschila Salsa Verde [three pepper green salsa made from jalapeno, caribe and japones - get at La Rosita] and finally, sour cream, small bowl of shredded lettuce and another small bowl of pickled jalapenos, carrots and onions - the kind that comes in a can. Sort of like El Famous Burrito sides.

Oh boy - this kind of stuff is Da BOMB for Da Bowl!!

By the way, the taqueria in La Rosita blows the doors off El Famous as far as price, quality and authenticity of Tex-Mex yumminess goes. How can you go wrong with a GIANT taco for $1.50?

I'm SO coming to your party next year!!!!

Lol, we did have some really awesome chili (leaded with artery-clogging, cheesy goodness) and some good sweet n sour meatballs. We were happier with the Coronas and Margaritas, though Razz

I have been cutting WAY back on my beer consumption but for the game, I did pop for a Point Craft 12-Pack. Sort of a poor man's Sam Adams, Point brewery is in Steven's Point Wisconsin [ya hey dere]. Their Craft Pack is a great sampler of wheat brews, amber pilsners and other fruits of the hop.

Best deal on beer lately? Becks 4-pack of "tall boys" at the "Liquor & Tobacco Outlet" [or whatever it's called] for $3.99. This liquor store is just to the north of Walgreens on Five Corners. The 4-pack is on the top shelf in their beer cooler so you might not spot it right away.

I'm kinda prissy about my beer in that I cannot drink it out of a can....it must be a bottle. Just doesn't taste the same Frown

I usually go to the liquor store on Roosevelt by the bridal shop, just past Golden Wok (East of 355). A case (read: 24 bottles) of MGD (hey, it's cheap) runs less than $15 usually....and when I don't have company, that'll last me a while.

Alternatively — if the image is already out on the web somewhere — click on the tab with the little picture of a picture and enter the URL of the image. (The URL of the actual image itself, not of the page it is on.)

When in doubt, click on “Help” under the “Tools” tab. —Ted E.

Huh. I try JRB's help which makes sense but I can't past the jpeg- the drop down menu is dimmed meaning not available. Help says "how to post a photo album" which doesn't seem right.

I'm thinking Ted's got me banned from posting my giant "Double Bast**d beer bottle photo. Women and children could cry. Wink

Or I'm a techno dunce.
