Creepy? Chicks in their underwear and t-shirts rubbing Telly's sweaty, bald noggin and seemingly trying to knock the fag out of his hand....what is creepy about that? Cinematography was way ahead of its time.

I missed it the first time around. I was still carrying my Six Million Dollar Man lunchbox and playing Pong when Kojak was doing his lollipops.
I look forward to the cultural reconfiguration of this. But then again -- I idolize all the 70's grimy city gambling stuff. Frank Sinatra cop films especially -- Contract on Cherry Street (1977), Tony Rome (okay, pre-1970 -- but it's got the look).
I suspect Frank and Telly had a couple of rousing poker games.
