This is US Sales only, but I am glad to see Ford claim #1. They've been the best at addressing their labor legacy costs. We'll see if it is enough, long-term. And they did it without taking the government bailout. Those two items ought to be enough for folks to at least give them a look.
I've now owned 4 cars, all American, and I just don't see the quality complaints most folks reflexively throw at them. And when I do need to fix them, the parts are much cheaper. Pontiac Sunfire - 230K before it was totaled Ford Ranger - 120K before it was sold Olds Alero - Still kicking, with no issues, at 90K Ford Windstar - 145K, 9 years old and counting |
