Can anyone shed some light on other Electric suppliers in the state that would handle a 2,500 kwh avg commercial user.

ComEd was granted the ability to charge the ratepayers, starting in April, up to 70 Mil to cover the cost of customers who did not pay in '08 and '09. I would like to switch suppliers, but am reluctant to go with an untried source. Anyone happy with a company and can compare the rates?

How do you find out what ComEd is buying their energy at? Any help would be appreciated.

D41 just went to bid on their electrical services. The info with bid pricing is here on page 28.

The vendors that quoted are:

Illinois Energy Consortium
Integrys
Vanguard (using MidAm)
Vanguard (using Exelon)
Champion Energy Services

IEC had the lowest bid of $0.060600 per kWh.
