I know to go the speed limit in C.S., so it must be effective.
I also know that sitting in the left lane, the passing lane, is illegal. Doesn't matter if your going the speed limit, your not supposed to just "sit" in that lane just because you have to make a left in eight miles. This law was introduced by a Carol Stream state rep. as a way to address road rage.
So why doesn't the Carol Stream PD enforce this law? If your going to ticket people for speeding, ticket a like number for obstructing the passing lane.
Yes, I'm a type A driver, get out of my way.

I am seriously amazed and a half. CS police are known for being unnecessarily rude and far more strict than other towns. I lived there throughout high school and cannot even begin to tell you how many times I was followed for blocks by an officer, just waiting for me to do something wrong because I was a younger driver. They were usually disappointed.
I was pulled over by one when I was probably about 19 or 20....he asked me for my phone number
I wonder if it was my ex-boyfriend who pulled you over, he's always been a relatively decent human being.
Yoss, regardless of what type of drive you are, you have an incredibly valid point. It makes me completely insane when people call the left lane the "fast lane". It's not there for anyone to go faster, it's there for passing....hence the term "passing lane".

Doesn't matter. You could be one of the officer's sweet, cookie-baking grandmother, and still be disrespected and mistreated by them. They behave as if Carol Stream is on the South Side of Chicago.

Carol Stream, Village of doesn't levy a property tax. This is one reason for their aggressive traffic ticketing which also includes red-light Scameras.
