Well, it has essentially nothing to do with Libertarianism. It's pretty much an attack on Republicanism, scattered with incorrect and or revisionist history (the Solid South, anyone?).
And we are a republic, I'm not sure why the author objects to that fact. Unless he's objecting to the "constitutional" adjective. I wouldn't see any problem with calling it either a "democratic republic" or a "constitutional republic". But it is a republic. |
