Motorola survey indicates that nothing beats high-def.
By Swanni Washington, D.C. (November 14, 2007) -- Would you rather watch this Sunday's big game on your HDTV or live at the stadium itself? "Despite sellouts at most games, a new survey from Motorola indicates that Americans would prefer to watch the game at home in HD. That's according to an article by Multchannel News. Forty-five percent of adults say they would pick their high-def set compared to 32 percent who said they would rather watch a college or pro game in person. In Motorola's survey of 1,009 adults, 17 percent said they don't watch football at all while four percent said they didn't know whether to choose a high-def set or the real thing. Interestingly, men are more likely to choose HDTV over watching a game live by a margin of 51 percent to 41." Count me in that group of men who prefer to watch the game at home in HD. No traffic hassles, drunken idiots or iffy weather to contend with. The only downside is when Brian Balldinger is calling the game. "Deck the halls..." |
