Sorry for the late notice but better late than never...here is an announcement about an event taking place later today -

Christ Church in Glen Ellyn is hosting a presentation of “Juliet: A Dialogue About Love”, a 90 minute one actress drama this Sunday, February 10th, at 6pm. It is about a woman with 7 children whose whole family was imprisoned behind the communist iron curtain in the late 1950's. As the government authorities pressured her to testify against her husband, a minister, in return for the freedom of the rest of her family, she struggled with her faith and belief in God, looking for a sign she should continue to believe, while also struggling just to survive, live, and protect her family.

We hope you can join us for this powerful performance about a courageous woman confronting her fears and doubts. The play was written by Juliet's youngest son, Andras Visky, now a professor at a Romanian university. The director is Christopher Markle, head of the theatre and dance department at Northern Illinois University. The actress, Melissa Hawkins, grew up in Wheaton and in France, and has performed this play as well as roles in other productions, in front of audiences around the world.

We want to offer this opportunity to the local community to be entertained and moved, while building community here in Glen Ellyn, giving people a chance to connect through the arts.
