The Great Cardboard Boat Regatta
12 noon to 3:00 P.M. June 28 at Lake Ellyn Park, Glen Ellyn, IL.
Filled with spills and chills, the exciting Great Cardboard Boat Regatta will take place on Lake Ellyn. Watch the creative handmade cardboard boats race from the shore or make your own and be part of the fun. For information call 630-858-2462.

Picnic in the Park
12 noon to 3:00 P.M. June 28 at Lake Ellyn Park, Glen Ellyn, IL.
Enjoy great food - burgers, brats, hot dogs and corn. Members of the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Department will be the chefs for the event. Proceeds go to support the Fourth of July Celebration.

Independence Day Parade
12 noon downtown Glen Ellyn, IL.
Route: Crescent Blvd. to Main Street to Linden Ave., to Lake Ellyn.
Everyone loves a parade. This year’s Grand Marshal for the parade is Glen Ellyn native and distinguished architect, Jerry Perkins.

Afternoon Festivities at Lake Ellyn
1:30 to 4:30 P.M. at Lake Ellyn, Glen Ellyn, IL.
Enjoy family fun and food at Lake Ellyn Park, along with inflatables, music by “1969” and a Ten Penny Carnival. Participants may purchase a $2 wristband to enjoy all the action at Lake Ellyn.

Fireworks
Dusk at Lake Ellyn Park, Glen Ellyn, IL.
Your 4th of July Celebration is not complete without the awe of fireworks overhead. Come watch the magic of what the night can bring to this memorable Glen Ellyn experience.
