Yes, Happy New Year! Hope 2008 becomes a great year for you and for our town!

One of us made it back slightly before the new year.

My street has been plowed at least 15 times.

Maybe the God of Utilities and Public Services is making up for the August 4 day power outage in these parts.

Good luck...goes to show...public officials in this town get no preferential treatment. Wink

Thanks Candidate.....I used the snow blower to help my retired neighbors and then I used the snow blower to get a little of the culdesac cleared for my 80 year old neighbor who had to get to church.....

I decided to have a new slogan for the year, "Do not hate in '08!!!!

I started by helping my neighbors....

I did get my street plowed but I think it was Clam still test driving Fish's snow blower. Actually I think it was plowed when I sent you the last e-mail. I am glad that school newspaper is just small enough to be shredded in my snowblower. The Daily Herald didn't fair so well. Do you get that school newspaper on your side of Teddy?

Be grateful that you do not get the school newspaper. It always seems riddled with D41 propaganda. There are some perks to living on the southside.

The Trib put mine out of commission last year. Got jammed in there and must have broke something. It's an old two-stage Craftsman, that when working will throw the snow like nobody's business. I've been debating fixng it vs. buying new. I have done neither and am paying the price this year.

Happy Newish Year to all. Someone please remind me why we are living here as yesterday at this time I was sipping coffee by the pool preparing for a beach walk - and factoring wind chill, it was 100 degrees warmer than now - Brrrrrr!!!! Cool

BTW - as we came up our street, it appeared to have not been plowed at midnight. It was a holiday, I suppose, and it has been plowed now.

You're right this is insane. People shouldn't live in these temperatures. We must really love this place for some reason to keep coming back to it.

Bring it over and we'll make it as good as new. They have shear pins in them which break off in case you eat up something bigger than the school newspaper. They stock the parts at Lens Ace and heck think of the retail sales tax on that sale.

I have a '71 2002 with a stuck rear brake caliper. Heck, now that I think about it, the entire car could use a complete brake job. Do you know how to do this kind of work, also? Or does your knowledge extend only to snowblowers? Need to know by April or so.

What in the heck is a 2002. Anyway doesn't matter I am sure WE can figure it out. Bring it on over. Don't forget your tool belt and the kids.
If we can't do something with it we can skewer it on a flag pole in the middle of town. or

Really candidate, a man of your importance should know these kind of things.

Are you serious? The self propelled stopped working too. I think the master link may have snapped or something. If you can get my slow blower working again, without the God awful cost of shop repair, I will worship the ground you walk on forever. Also, you will have a night of cocktails on me. It's too heavy for me to lift into my truck alone, but I will get my neighbor to help me. Let me know if you are serious.
