Who's going to the Art Fest by Lake Ellyn this weekend?

BTW-Don't tread on old man Clam's lawn or he'll spray you with the waterhose. Unless of course you have a premium libation in hand for him. Cool

This just in-No pooches allowed.

Might bite Clam's finger as it lunges for the Grey Goose.

Whole heck of a lot to do this weekend in lovely GE. Kids' soccer and football start, the West/South game, and Art in the Park.

Here's the Lions Club Art in the Park Schedule.

I've lost all respect for him since he knocked up Lois Lane then flew off to "find Krypton".

Absolutely the worst arts festival in an "upscale" community. My 12 year old even mentioned that it gets worse and worse every year. Apparently...no different this year. I send them over with $20 each year to see what they come back with. The younger one always outshines the older one. The older one came back with a photo of a puffin. The younger one arrived with a hand-carved rock shaped like some sort of animal...not sure what.

Buffalo Grove has a great one, we go every year. We will still probably stop by tomorrow, were waiting for the ground to dry a bit.

Definately hit the Highland Park one. "Port Clinton Art Festival" August 25 and 26 10-6. It's a juried show. Just came back from there. Very professional. 260 vendors

Evanston's Fountain Square used to be the one to shoot for. Haven't been there in years.

I see you got the classic BMW back from Dan, don't you usually keep it in the garage?

I thought it was OK. Saw GEsince58 plying his wares, now he has some good stuff. Some of the female artist were attractive, that alone made the trip worth it. Big Grin

Which is why we live in a democracy. I'll fight to the death to allow you to disagree with me, MS...and still love you afterward. With the exception of the music...which was very good...the artists were terrible....I...M...O.

Terrible...perhaps....is the wrong word. Not interesting to me...how does that sound?

Probably not a good idea competing with Port Clinton, either.

I tend to make blanket statements when they should be attributed to my personal taste. Instead of saying, "That festival sucked"...I should say, "I think that festival sucked". Semantics, yes. But less offensive to those who may have been involved.

I am kinder...I am gentler.

And I now know what the boundaries are around here.

Confused I wasn't plying anything, Yoss. Big Grin I was there Sun afternoon, but only as a spectator. I did happen to hit my head pretty hard on a hanging metal sculpture way in the back by the boathouse, so maybe I thought I was a vendor for a short while until I fully came to.

which ones got you, the monsterous bug ones or the smaller rusty owl ones? If you got the rusty one, a shot may be in order.

Dunno. It happened so quickly. Appeared to be rusty colored whatever it was. Could just be the oak mites, but when I woke up this morning I could swear I'm growing iron parts out of my back near my shoulder blades.
