A person who just happens to have worked on referendums for Huntley and Carpentersville districts, and just happens to change the name of her company to something more generic, just happens to be on the GE89 payroll to create newsletters and things. BUT she will have nothing to do with getting this ref passed, SURE.

IMO, the steam is going to be coming off of this one for quite some time. Purdue is good guy, but why do I see this nice young lady turning in her letter of resignation the week after the election is over?

"Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya."

I saw that article and thought the same thing, SoT. I guess D89 is trying to emulate the district to the North. Best of luck to the citizens in your district.

I found interesting information on the web by plugging in the consultant's name and the districts she has worked prior. You might start here.

"I think it's important for schools to be able to have that communication so that they can let parents, families, the public and taxpayers that they serve know what's going on within their district," Vanover said.

Let me guess... so they can have enough information to make the correct decision? Roll Eyes

Good things come to those who wait....

From the article:
"Meyer worked on the referendum campaign in District 300 through her business, Campaign Solutions. That business first registered with the state on May 9, 2006 -- after Meyer completed the work involving District 300. In May 2007, she filed to change the business name to Cheryl L. Meyer Consulting Services Inc.

All payments made by District 89 to Meyer were done so through Cheryl Meyer Consulting Services, said Bernard Madden, the district's assistant superintendent for business and finance.

No business has been conducted between the district and Campaign Solutions, Madden said."

Reminds me of what Shakespeare once said,
"What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;"

or Gertrude Stein who said,
"A rose is a rose is a rose"

From what I understand, Ms. Meyer is a professional school referendum passer and it is awfully convenient that she was hired just as D89 got the referendum ball rolling. I guess there was no need for the premise of an independent referendum committee hiring a campaign consultant when D89 can pay for those services directly.

Maybe I should reference Da Coach,
"Who you crappin'?"
