Congrats to Park View Teacher Kerin Motsinger as she has won the Milken Family Foundation for excellence in teaching.

Great story and congragulations to her and to her school. But this brings up a question. We have all of these teacher awards including things like the Golden Apple etc. In order to get these awards etc, I would assume that you have to be recommended and then you would have to be evaluated, graded, compared to other teachers who where also nominated . If that is the case then why is it we always hear from the teachers union etc, that teachers cannont be evaluated or compared.

It appears to be a significant honor, and with an unrestricted $25,000 award I have no doubt it's very competitive.

With noitall's attitude, she wouldn't have won any awards except "Frustrated Educator with the Baddest Attitude".

Unless NoItAll is Schizophrenic there is no way she is Ms. Motsinger. Ms. Motsinger seems like she is both good at what she does and enjoys her job. I don't get that impression from NoItAll.
