As I've mentioned before, I live just NE of 5 Corners in an area typically referred to as Glenrise. In the past few months there have been about 7 teardowns in my area, with more to follow. I know the builder has already discussed annexation with the village and it would seem to just be a matter of when, not if.
My home which is 4 years old, is already connected to the village well and sewer. What I'm wondering is will we get hit with an assessment by the village for annexation costs? I know the builder has already hooked up in anticipation of the new construction, I'm curious though what other assesments we might get zinged with?

Should just see taxes being MUCH HIGHER as there should be none of the normal water/sewer connection charges.
Thanks, I did figure that was going to be the case. Same benefits as we currently have, just with a bigger tax bill. The good news is we will have more expensive homes going up around us, which will bring our property values up-I hope.

Yoss , I 'm pretty sure you're on the county line there. Our taxes jumped more than 10% when we were annexed and the services were better with the county as far as garbage and streets were concerned.
