I would like to thank everyone for participating in TBS's latest survey entitled "Potential New Resident". That will be $100,000 please.

Uh, just joking . . . but not a bad idea, because I noticed a number of really good comments that TBS should keep in mind as they move forward. And Koconn, welcome to GE! I think you made a good decision.

BTW-After sitting on the sidelines and reading and enjoying the post for the last year or so, I finally joined and added my sarcasm (see above).

I have been considering a move to Glen Ellyn and I stumbled upon this site. I gotta tell ya, the posts are some of the wittiest I have seen on any message board. But I digress....

There is some good and bad in any community. This message board appears to be a little more cynical. As I consider my community options I am curious what is good and what is bad in Glen Ellyn. If anyone is up to help out a potential resident, could you please tell me the top 3 good things and top 3 bad things? Thanks for your help.

Yoo, hoo - koconn - are you out there??!

What did you decide to do? If yes, welcome to our community, it truly is a village of smart, interesting people. If no, do tell us
what it was that dissuaded you. Either way, we'd love to know. Please give us all an update. Smile
Sorry for not responding earlier, but I had not checked the topic for awhile. Yep, I'm coming. I had spent a lot of time in G.E. over the years and always thought it would be a great place to live.

Welcome, koconn...please feel free to contact me for any advice you may require.

Where was the sarcasm?

I must have missed it.

I just don't get BT's humor.

It was just sarcasm.

Again, my awesome joke was missed on another occasion. No wonder I don't get paper invitations to the coolest parties in town.

Darnit Fan, I was working so hard to make sure I didn't have any typos that I forgot to include wit, humor, insight . . . I guess I need a little more pratice to be up to the GE posting standards. I was going to post my comment on the TBS website . . . but . . . it was forwarded to Houseal Lavigne?

Whatever, Fan. Nice try at covering up what a terrible person you are.

Seriously though, I did find this post an interesting exercise in the way it made you look at Glen Ellyn, reasons to move here and reasons not to, and how a future business might see Glen Ellyn in the same way.
So far my only big idea is to have a design contest for "This Space Available" signs.

See, now that is more like it.

While BT may classify his posts as sarcasm, I do not do so.

To me, they are tragically honest....almost Shakespearian.

I was hoping BT would be witty, humorous and insightful....instead, he/she is merely observant and honest.

I am a terrible person...I'm going to call another terrible person right now. Your number still (630) 706-7602?

Sarcasm, cynicism, wit, humor, whatever . . . all I know is I'm a big fan of ya'll and always check up on the latest banter. I would highly encourage Koconn to continue to check this site. I realize there are alot ways to look at something, but have found the discussions here to very helpful in determining my position on a number of subjects that effect the town.

I got someone who wanted to know how much I can save on my car insurance.
