Did I miss something while I was gone, why is the firefighter statue drapped in pall?
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.
In honor of Robert "Rocky" Stone who passed away on December 22nd. Rocky was an active member of the community and a volunteer for the Glen Ellyn Fire Department for 27 years. He is also the brother of Stuart S. Stone, former GEVFD chief and son of Stuart W. Stone, former GEVFD chief. ROBERT D. STONE "ROCKY"
Oh thank you for your reply. I was wondering what happened or if it was in honor of someone. What a nice way to honor someone.

Yeah, it is a nice tribute to a man, and a family, who has been so supportive and part of the community for so many years. His wife Linda, has taught so many of the children of Glen Ellyn at Lincoln. Fortunate enough to have one of my children be one of her students. Rocky will be missed.
One point of clarification. That was a tough week for the friends and families of the GEVFD. Eight days prior to Rocky's passing, another former GE firefighter of 8 years, John Bodony, passed away. John is the brother of Assistant Chief Jim Bodony. The pall could very well represent and honor the memories of both John and Rocky. Condolences to both families. JOHN H. BODONY
