$44,000 to research possible ways to improve safety, traffic flow and the appearance of that stretch of road, which splits Glenbard West High School from Memorial Field.
If the turf project does indeed go through for Memorial Field, then I hope that they would include a study of what traffic is like and what it will be like on Crescent, Willis, Lee and Park Row-especially since parking will be limited for activities on that field.
I was flipping through channels last night and saw someone questioning this fundage. I don't remember the gentleman's name, but he did a great job at playing politician and side-stepping a straight answer when he was asked about the fundage and the commitment for the project.
Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements....even if it leads nowhere - Adele
The purpose of the study is to examine the opportunity to improve safety and traffic flow along Crescent. If engineering options are found that will accomplish those goals, we will then apply for federal funding to assist in paying for them. If those objectives can't be met, then we'll simply be resurfacing the street sometime around 2015.
