Therefore, preservation and restoration of our historic downtown buildings, combined with thoughtfully designed infill construction, should be of the highest priority in the development of plans for the revitalization of the Central Business District.

How does this section on teardowns help their cause? In my humble opinion, all of the homes that replaced the prior, decrepit, homes, are absolutely beautiful.

In fact, this section, to me, merely dictates the futile and out of touch nature of this group's motivations.

There are certainly some battles worth fighting; but when you fight them all, the aggressors appear foolish. And then when you add in a dose of hypocrisy, they become totally insignificant.
