One benefit of the one way street configuration is to help alleviate train gridlock with lanes that can allow traffic to continue moving onto Crescent and Duane, while another lane sits idle waiting to cross the tracks. In particular, how would the current left lane of south bound Main between Crescent and Pennsylvania be changed? I can see south bound Main backing up to Hawthorne on a regular basis with the wrong configuration. I would not be in favor of a configuration that did not take this into account. Ideally, it would be nice to add more turning options at the Prospect, Main, and Park intersections with Crescent and Duane. | ||
