Patronizing some of our fine downtown establishments on this glorious afternoon, I couldn't help but notice a pair of industrious individuals pansying the Wark clock. But looking slightly closer I realized they had chosen to change from the standard policy of "It's right twice a day." Yes, the floral clock actually had flowers and was serving its function as a clock.

Will wonders never cease?! Wink What will be next, an upright and functioning fountain? No NEVER!

Wouldn't it be more cost effective to just install a sundial? That way we could enjoy it all year!

I’m afraid that the clock and the fountain are going to be hard to top. We really need to help President Pfefferman come up something now so he has time to lay a few people off to pay for it. I was thinking that the Obelisk of Glen Ellyn might be nice.

If we had a Carillon, Carilloneurs would run amuck around town and we'd have another PADS-like situation on our hands.

From Napervilles' Carillon webpage:

"Our Carillon is played by our City Carilloneur or other local Carilloneurs several times during the week. We also have performances by guest Carilloneurs from around the world each Tuesday night during the Summer months."

Say that 5 times fast.
