Interesting point Jombl. You also wonder how much our new Sportsplex is contributing to global warming. Good thing we did'nt chop down all those trees huh.

Just curious...what is the difference in carbon savings between a field of (real) grass and the same size field of trees? I hear so much about how many trees we would have to plant to equal the loss by some structure. How many trees would we have to plant to equal a field of grass?

The main purpose in what the Cool Cities Coalition is doing is asking cities and towns across America to set goals for energy conservation. This reduces our dependence on foreign oil, saves taxpayer money, builds community by starting creative projects, and helps the environment.
