Ask her if she was threatened with physical harm. I'd be interested in the answer. Just have to wonder if someone got to her. I'll bet it was that former village president and his posse of nonagenarian thugs. Big Grin

btw, i'm two for two predicting this outcome:

1) the low bidder/least experienced Town Builder Studio would get the gig

2) there would be a scandal (this prediction of mine was challenged today)

the only other prediction i kept to myself was that some posters would be incredulous about this outcome. i can't believe you guys can't believe this has happened. seriously, you expected something else? cicero my ***, this isn't underhanded; this is small town ineptitude. where you been livin' all these years?

welcome to purdy glen ellyn, boys.

I'm sure you'll get a real truthful and honest answer. Good luck with that one. The spin for this result started last week.

I can't wait until Candidate posts. [Some advice my friend - re-read what you post 3-4 times and have someone else read what you are going to post before hitting the post button...I speak from experience.]

Wait. I've been crying ineptitude on Duane for years. Does this mean that I am suddenly vindicated? In one night? Now I seem smart?

Even Ted agreed with my assessment of volunteerism in this town a few years back. Where have you all been? Welcome home, friends.

which is it, ineptitude or smoke filled room politics? your earlier posts tonight implied the latter.

btw, you indeed have cried ineptitude as it pertains to the current village prez.

You're killing me with that avatar.

BTW, t.a., I have preached time and time again to friends in various businesses that your personal views and beliefs are best left at home. For instance, what if I hated rhinos? Would they not do business with me or vice versa? Should one dedicate space re: his personal views on a company website? Keep in mind that I say this as my feet rest on my new rhino flooring.

Combination. My guess is that she "may" have been spoken to. The fact that she "appears" to have gone along with it shows ineptitude. So...a little bit of both. Like a political pu-pu platter.

At this point, the only difference between Cicero and Glen Ellyn are the "juice bars". How much is this contract worth?

I think she'll be honest with me. I just can't promise to share with all of you what she tells me. Nonetheless, I still think a huge mistake is being made.

Ran into Candidate at THG after the meeting. I was having a meeting at THG and leaving when he came in. I'm interested to read what response he has - good advice JRP.

The village took a big step into the "poo poo platter" tonight.
We even got smiling Joe out to watch.
There was no argument from our acting village manager that we recieved 50 or more e-mails to the village all in support of Houseal Lavigne.
No business person in their right mind much less an architect could have come to the conclusion that Town Builders Studios is a better planning firm for our town than Houseal Lavigne. That is of course if they were in their right mind.
Who had the poo poo platter comment I would look but I am so pi*$$ed can't see straight right now. Too funny. Was that from Bugs Life?

Too many years of going to a bad Polynesian restaurant with my dad. As a kid. . .the pu pu platter killed me.
