umm, didn't you help with the CBD clean up last year? What authority did you act on that time?

It cost the village nothing. I have no authority to spend the village's money...to clarify.

I couldn't have said that better, Clam!

Yoss: I'm Irish AND Protestant....what now? Wink

Scribbler: Naperville's lights ALWAYS look fantastic (in my experience, anyway).

Graham: Those were some great attempts at keeping on topic Smile That being said, I don't necessarily think there's anything to be done for this year's CBD lighting disaster. I think most of us on here are exploring ideas for next year's so as to avoid this type of mistake again.

Bry: I'd be interested in seeing the "unspoken side" of GE, if you were being serious....

DTM: I find the Californians in that video entertaining....walking around in jackets with their hands tucked into their armpits....what is it, about 50 degrees there right now? With no wind chill? Hahahaha.

GEsingle... I have A TON of "unspoken" side of GE photographs. I will be putting some of them on my site sometime this winter. Let's just say that most would not pass Ted's judgement in adding a link on this site like he offered in another thread. They are not blurry or anything, let's just say many are "troubling." They are not in any way meant to "dis" GE, they are just of every day life and death.

It's all relative, and it sure is nice out here. I was just driving by a baseball field yesterday with two teams getting ready to play some league ball. The game is played year-round in these parts. And they never have to move game times on account of snow.

Plenty of Christmas lights up, too. Not so many Halloween lights as GE puts up. Don't know why.

Actually I like the CBD lights. I am a minimalist and they are just my kind of holiday decorations. Guess each to their own!
