I saw this story on the Trib website; the young man from Glendale Heights is a 2006 graduate from Glenbard West, Cory Alsip. He's a friend of my son's; they were on the cross country team together. He always talked about being a pilot; it's been his dream.

I'm sure he and his family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers...it does sound, at least, as if he was able to walk out of the plane on his own, which has to be a good sign.
