Remember, it is a buyers market. Dealers are having a hell of a time selling, so make sure you really low ball it!

If you knew how I stole the Lexus, you'd be proud! I'm the buyer who puts the non-negotiable, all-in offer, in the form of a certified check, on the desk and say "there's the cash, take it or leave it". Works every time, every time. Put a little smell of "cash" in the air, and you own the place!

How do you know your not putting too much cash on the table? Have you ever had a seller say "No Thanks" to your offer?

A couple of times, but mostly not. I don't try to screw them over too badly, just want to be fair for me, and them. They've got to eat too.

Well, a few months later, and on the other side of the holidays, I'm still in the Lexus. We're looking at some new sytle 3 series (2006), wagons to be specific. Anyone have any input on the new styles? Reviews all mention more interior space. I'm not interested in the 335 series (turbo model). I'm liking the looks of the sport wagon.

Lexus is in excellent shape, nothing wrong with it, just bored to tears with it. Until I'm ready to step back into the LS series, I think I'm done with Lexus for a while.

If there is a car that I am an expert on...it is that one model. Mainly because I wanted to buy one. Currently driving a 2008 Volvo V70 which I give a big Meh. It is neither exciting nor infuriating. It's a car. A good car for what I paid about 2 years ago when new as they were giving them away. A smooth riding car. Worth absolutely nothing now. I bought the Volvo because the 3 and 5 series wagons were (are) ridiculously priced when they were new. The current model wagon, which I believe started with 2007 model, comes in one engine size...period. 328iT or 328xiT.

Rahal BMW of South Hills has a 2007 328xiT, CPO, black w/ 20K miles for $30K...probably get it for $29ish. Their CPO gives you warranty for 6 years and 100,000 miles. Go buy it...as my wife won't let me buy it.
