The rains and the attendant worry - the fear of leaving my house now if there's any kind of heavy rain in the forecast - is seriously causing me to consider moving. Not anytime soon - can't afford it right now - but certainly sooner than we had ever thought. To tell the truth, I am tired of home ownership in the suburbs. I want a nice, tidy condo in the city where I never have to worry about shoveling my driveway in the winter - heck, I wouldn't even have to have a car, which would be heaven! - and where, at the first drop of rain, I won't have PTSD.

I never had this problem on the 15th floor of Presidential Towers. It was nice to look down on the rain.

But if you stayed in the city RMK, then you wouldn't have had the pleasure of meeting me! Big Grin

Didn't I just read that the River City apartment folks were just allowed back into their building? Granted, they're built on the Chicago River....

I actually looked at that place and then PT. Then I figured out I could buy a place in the burbs for the cost of renting downtown.
