I can't believe this guy actually did this. US Bank Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn May9, 2009. How do you go into the drive the wrong way and then hit the drive up median?

His nose might have been as red as his truck. Wink

Good on ya for getting those pictures!

Best bank story I've ever heard was from one of my customers some 16 years ago.

Customer: Hi, I'll be bringing in one of my bikes for repair in a day or so, but could you first look at my Yakima roof rack I bought a couple of weeks ago from you?

Me: Sure, something wrong with the rack?

Customer: Don't know. It was in an accident.

I was thinking "Uh oh, did we install it for him?" as I was walking outside with the guy to take a look see.

Me: What happened?

Customer: Well, there were two bikes on top when it happened.

Me: What happened? Drive into a garage with the bikes on top? (common, actually)

Customer: No. Worse.

I looked and the rack was actually fine. No damage except for some scratches. The car's roof looked almost destroyed.

Me: Um, well?

Customer. The worse part is that it wasn't my garage.

Me: Friend's garage?

Customer: No. Gets worse. One of the two bikes on top was a friend's, and the other was mine.

Me: Gee, that's not good. Both bikes messed up?

Customer: Yup. Pretty bad. You'll see one of them this week. Another shop already has my friend's bike. They said new fork, and other stuff. About $600 so far.

Me: And your car?

Customer: Dealer told me one of his better repair guys needs to look at it. Insurance should cover all but $250.

Me: Alright, that's good - and bad. But not a garage?

Customer: No. You know those drive ups at banks with the roofs over them?

Me: No, really?

Customer: Yes, and that's not the worst of it.

Me: How can it get any worse?

Customer: You know those digital time and temp. signs they sometimes have up there? This one was at drive up number 3.
