You may wish to pass this on. If Metra does not raise fares they are proposing to cut rush hour trains, Glen Ellyn would have no rush hour service between 7 and 7:47. And while the times may not be a big deal, the trains are already crowded.

Service cutbacks.

I think you're reading that wrong. The 7:17 and 7:34 inbound will still operate, but they'll have their schedules adjusted. Your link shows the new times (adding stops to Maywood, for example).

At least that's what I'm understanding from the link you provided.

(My understanding was that they were cancelling only the trains with the lowest ridership. I don't think they're cancelling rush hour service -- only adjusting.)

In GE, we're still in pretty good shape, it looks like. It's folks getting on at Elmhurst and east of Elmhurst that will run into the can't-find-a-seat situation (at least inbound). The trains will be packed -- but if you have a seat, who cares? Smile

EDIT: Whoops -- I didn't see the outbound schedule. Are you meaning no outbound trains arriving in GE between 7 and 747?

You are correct, I thought the bolded ones were being cut, but they are not. Although it still doesnt hurt to take the survey.

I need a weekend! Big Grin

Also, I really doubt #30 26 and 30 will actually arrive at those times if we add all those local stops. We really need more express trains, not more stops.
