There are many kids in Glen Ellyn that attend Benet Academy. They should be proud tonight of their boys basketball team. They just lost a double overtime game to Simeon, who now goes to Peoria for the semifinals.
I haven't cared about high school basketball since since 1972, when Bob Okreszik played for Holy Cross. I went to several games this year. Benet is a great team to watch, who will only get better next year. Well coached. Disciplined. Held Simeon to single digits in the second half, until some great plays by some great players pulled it out for Simeon.
