Dr. Lee. I've been very happy there...well not happy as it is a doctor's office...but happy with the care I've received.

two thumbs up for Dr Lee. My family has seen him since he started.
My 3 kids love him. We have had all kinds of assorted troubles. From minor to serious. We also use the other docs as needed and are happy with them too.

My husband and I see Dr. Lobue; the boys see Dr. Lee (Kenneth Lee). We couldn't be happier with both, and we've been patients there for about ten years now, I think. Excellent nurses, too.

Thanks all...made an appointment with Dr. Lee.

My doctor at Rush has decided it would be best to no longer take insurance and was charging $1,800 or $2,000 per year per patient for services. I guess that's what happens when you do commercial for BCBS.

Dins, do you have a cold? Maybe it's time to make that doctor's appointment.

IMO, your doctor was smart to do what he did.

I am giving you all a prediction or prophecy, if you will...our healthcare system is going to implode soon if something dramatic isn't done to:

1. Cut out the lawsuits that truly are not justifiable
2. Lower malpractice insurance costs
3. Prevent people from utilizing health care unless it is truly needed
4. Encourage more young people to go into medicine (and pay for their education)
5. Help those without resources obtain the health care they actually need.
6. Help people access mental health care.

Without these things, we are screwed.

But it does me no good because I don't want to pay the vig.

Clam: You will like Ken Lee.

Amy: Lay off the lawyers. Malpractice suits can't get filed without some medical professional rendering an opinion that a case exists. I know that malpractice insurance is out of control, but the insurance industry is holding no tag days for their officers.

ronkas,
I didn't think I laid into the lawyers...but there are many lawsuits filed that shouldn't. Blame whomever, I don't care but it does happen way to much. People die - things go wrong. That's life and doctors are human.

But now that you raise the topic, what do you think of the personal injury lawyers who send their public aid "client" to the ER a week after an accident asking for x-rays, MRI's, and other expensive tests when the "client" can move everything....and has no apparent injuries...and claims they can't move their neck, leg, whatever, but when my husband drops something behind them, they have no trouble moving their neck, leg or whatever? That happens all the time too.

As we've repeatedly discussed, there are good and bad at everything. I don't doubt that the scenario you presented occurs....a lot. But malpractice also occurs a lot. In fact, 90% of it goes unreported and even a smaller percentage of it gets acted upon.

What do you think of the child born with cerebal palsy because the Northwestern anesthesiologist ignored his repeated pages for a crash C-Section while he was banging the nurse in the utility closet? There are really bad doctors and really bad lawyers. Let's just agree on that and move on.
